Scaniva ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Scaniva handles your information when you use our mobile application.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data.

Scaniva is designed with privacy as the foundation. The app operates entirely offline and does not:

• Transmit data to external servers
• Track user behavior or analytics

• Use cookies or tracking technologies
• Require account creation or login

How Your Data is Processed

Document Scanning

When you scan documents using Scaniva:

• Images are captured using your device's camera via Apple's VisionKit framework
• All image processing happens locally on your device
• Scanned documents are stored only in your device's local storage
• No images are uploaded to any server or cloud service

OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

Text recognition features use Apple's Vision framework:

• All OCR processing occurs on-device using Apple's neural engine
• Extracted text is stored locally on your device
• No text data is sent to external servers
• You have full control over extracted text and can delete it at any time

Document Storage

Your documents are stored securely:

• All documents remain on your device in the app's secure sandbox
• Storage uses iOS standard encryption provided by Apple
• Documents are only accessible through Face ID / Touch ID if you enable biometric protection
• When you delete documents from Scaniva, they are permanently removed

Permissions Required

Camera Access

Scaniva requires camera access to scan documents. Camera permissions are:

• Used exclusively for document scanning within the app
• Never used for background recording or surveillance
• Controlled by iOS permission system - you can revoke access anytime

Photo Library Access (Optional)

If you choose to import existing images:

• Access is limited to photos you explicitly select
• No automatic photo library scanning occurs
• Imported photos are processed locally and not transmitted

Biometric Authentication (Optional)

If you enable Face ID / Touch ID protection:

• Biometric data is processed entirely by iOS
• Scaniva never accesses your biometric information
• This feature only controls app access, no data is collected

Data Sharing and Export

You have complete control over your documents:

• Export features use iOS native sharing system
• You choose where to send documents (email, cloud storage, etc.)
• Scaniva does not monitor or track your sharing activities
• When you share documents, they are subject to the privacy policies of the services you choose

In-App Purchases

Scaniva offers a one-time premium upgrade purchase:

• Purchases are processed entirely through Apple's App Store
• We do not collect payment information
• Purchase verification is handled by Apple's StoreKit framework
• No transaction data is stored or transmitted by Scaniva

Children's Privacy

Scaniva does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal data at all, the app is safe for users of all ages. However, we recommend parental supervision for users under 13.

Third-Party Services

Scaniva does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app uses only Apple's native frameworks:

• SwiftUI (user interface)
• VisionKit (document scanning)
• Vision (text recognition)
• PDFKit (PDF generation)
• StoreKit (in-app purchases)

These frameworks are part of iOS and subject to Apple's privacy policies.

Data Security

While we don't collect data, we ensure your documents are secure:

• Documents are stored in the app's sandboxed file system
• iOS encryption protects data at rest
• Optional biometric authentication adds an extra security layer
• No network connections are made by the app (except for App Store purchase verification)

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be:

• Posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date
• Reflected in app updates if significant changes occur
• Effective immediately upon posting

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.

Your Rights

Since Scaniva does not collect personal data, there is no data to:

• Access or request
• Modify or correct
• Delete or erase
• Export or port

You maintain complete ownership and control of all documents you create using Scaniva. You can delete all data at any time by deleting the app.

International Users

Scaniva is available worldwide and operates the same way in all regions:

• No data collection means no cross-border data transfers
• Compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations by design
• All processing happens locally regardless of your location
