Pregnant and nursing are different questions.

Topical retinoids are best avoided in pregnancy, but the picture changes during breastfeeding. Salima has four modes — Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Trying to Conceive, General — and the verdict changes with the stage you choose.

No barcode? No problem

It reads the label itself.

Barcode databases are thin for cosmetics. Salima reads the printed ingredient list with your camera — any label, any language — so a product in no database still gets a verdict. Even after the box went in the bin.

Honest about fragrance

Information, not alarm.

"Fragrance" conceals its ingredients, and roughly two thirds of cosmetics contain it. That's worth knowing — but it is not an established pregnancy risk, and Salima won't pretend otherwise. You get a plain transparency report, not a scare.
